S.T.Stead Veterinary Surgery
S.T.Stead is a small friendly practice on the outskirts of York City Centre. It was established in 1985 by Tim Stead BVSc MRCVS and over the years it has built a solid reputation locally and beyond.The surgery initially started with a small team of three, we now have a larger team of two qualified surgeons, qualified veterinary nurses, nursing assistants and reception staff.
Our team are dedicated and trained to offer the most excellent care and understanding to all of our patients and deliver owners with expert advice.

Our Practice has excellent facilities throughout, we have an X-ray machine, Ultrasound, Blood Analysis machines and much more!
Our Vets are trained in a wide range of operations from general surgery, such as neutering to more complex procedures and emergency surgery. Most of our surgery is performed using Laser Surgery, to ensure that all surgery is carried out with high accuracy, less pain, bleeding and swelling to offer faster and better recovery for your pet.

As a practice we understand that bringing your pet to the surgery can be a traumatic time for yourselves as well as your pet, so we believe in treating all patients and owners with compassion in a professional and understanding manner, which we believe helps to create a calming environment.

We understand that owning a pet can sometimes be difficult financially in affording veterinary treatment and as a practice we believe in helping with those tough situations.
